Main Character Energy (Branding)

Today we are talking about Main Character Energy.
In the corporate world, they call this "Branding." But "Branding" sounds boring and expensive. It sounds like paying an agency $10k to design a logo that looks exactly like everyone else’s.
We aren't doing that. We are building a Vibe.
You Are The Niche
Here is a secret the business gurus won't tell you: The market is saturated. There are a million virtual assistants. There are a million graphic designers. There are a million life coaches.
So why would anyone choose you?
Because of who you are.
People don't just buy products; they buy people. They buy energy. They buy trust.
If you are chaotic and funny, lean into it. Your brand is "The Best Friend Who Tells It Like It Is."
If you are hyper-organized and calm, lean into it. Your brand is "The Zen Master of Logistics."
If you are bold and loud, lean into it. Your brand is "The Hype Woman."
Your personality is the filter that attracts the right clients and repels the wrong ones. You cannot be generic. Generic is broke. Specific is expensive.
The Visual Audit
Your side gig needs to look the part. Before you make a single dollar, you need to look like you know what you’re doing.
Imagine your business walked into a room.
What is she wearing? (Blazer? Sweatpants? A sundress?)
What is she drinking? (Matcha? Black coffee? A spicy marg?)
What is the color palette? (Beige/Cream? Neon pink? Dark moody greens?)
This isn't just fluff. Aesthetic consistency creates trust. If your Instagram is a mess of 12 different fonts and random colors, people subconsciously think your work will be messy too.
⚡ Today’s Assignment: The Mood Board
We are going to channel our inner Pinterest girlie.
Step 1: Go to Pinterest. Create a new board called "[Your Business Name] Vibe."
Step 2: Pin 20 images. Don't think about logic. Just pin what feels like the business.
Pin color palettes.
Pin fonts/typography.
Pin outfits/fashion that matches the vibe.
Pin interiors/offices.
Step 3: Pick your "Uniform." Look at the board. What are the 2-3 main colors you see repeating? What is the font style (Serif vs. Sans Serif)?
These are your brand colors now. Stick to them. From now on, every Instagram story, every PDF, every email you send should use these colors and fonts.
Make it look expensive, even if you're building it from your couch.
Xo,
[Your Name]
P.S. If you need inspiration, look at brands you already buy from. Why do you like them? Is it the product, or is it how the product makes you feel?
