Today’s Assignment: The Vague Post
Why you’re afraid to post (and how to stop). 🫣
Hey,
We need to have an uncomfortable conversation today.
You know what your offer is (or you're getting close). You know you have the skills. But every time you think about actually posting about it on Instagram or LinkedIn, your stomach drops. You delete the draft. You archive the story.
You are suffering from The Fear of Being Cringe.
Specifically, you are worried about what people you went to high school with will think.
Let’s dissect that. You are letting the imaginary opinions of people you haven't spoken to since 2014 stop you from making money. You are worried that "Sarah from Biology" is going to screenshot your story and send it to a group chat you aren't even in.
Here is the hard truth:
Sarah is too busy worrying about her own life to care about yours.
Even if she does laugh? Her opinion doesn't pay your rent.
The Cost of "Cool"
Trying to look "cool" and "effortless" is the most expensive hobby you have. It is costing you thousands of dollars a year in lost income.
Every successful person you follow—every influencer, every CEO, every creator—had to start by posting to zero likes. They had to be "cringe" before they were successful.
Cringe is the tax you pay for entry.
If you want the freedom, the money, and the lifestyle, you have to be willing to be perceived. You have to be willing to try.
⚡ Today’s Assignment: The Vague Post
We are ripping the band-aid off, but we’re doing it strategically. We aren't selling anything yet. We are just signaling a shift in energy.
Go to your Instagram Story (or LinkedIn/TikTok) and post a photo. It can be a picture of your laptop, a coffee cup, a notebook, or a mood board.
Overlay this text (or something similar): "Working on something new that I'm actually really excited about. Can't wait to share it with you guys soon. ✨"
That’s it. No details. No sales pitch. just a "Soft Launch" of your new era.
Hit post. Close the app. Do not look at the views for 2 hours.
You survive this, you can survive anything.
XoXo
P.S. If you lose followers because you start talking about your ambitions, let them go. We are clearing space for clients, not spectators.
